HRCI Certification Update

Greetings, State Council members and SHRM Chapter members in Minnesota. I am pleased to be the HRCI Certification Director for the MN SHRM State Council. Please find below my report and feel free to contact me anytime with questions about HRCI Certification at pstolee@ccmn.us. Thanks!

MN SHRM State Council Goals:

  • Assure that certification leadership is represented on the state council/all chapters.
  • Increase the number of applicants for the exams in the state.
  • Promote the ease of recertification online through tools
  • Assure that state council provides certification-focused communication to at-large members within the state.
  • Increase the number of presentations focused on certification/recertification
  • Request HRCI's presence at a state leadership meeting or conference.
  • Educate Chapters about the HRCI Pre-Approval Program and seek pre-approval for eligible continuing education events.
  • Participate in at least one webcast and one teleconference for HRCI Certification.
Chapter Goals:
  • Promote the certification exams in your chapter.
  • Promote recertification in your chapter.
  • Assure that your chapter provides certification-focused communication in newsletters and on chapter websites.
  • Host a certification-related chapter meeting.
  • Host a recertification-related chapter meeting.
  • Continue to seek pre-approval for eligible continuing education events.

PAY-IF-YOU-PASS POLICY:

SHRM volunteer leaders serving at one of the levels listed below may take the exam as a pay-if-you-pass candidate. The fee to register for the exam as a pay-if-you-pass candidate is $120. This fee is nonrefundable and the balance of the exam fees are payable upon notification of Successfully passing the exam.
