The Effects of Tragedy in the Workplace
Dear Midwest EAP Client,
In response to the recent tragedy in the Cold Spring community and the
state of Minnesota, we want to make you aware of the resources available
to you through Midwest EAP Solutions. When situations like this happen,
there is a great sense of fear, vulnerability, helplessness and grief.
Our counselors have been on-site in the Cold Spring community and are
ready to assist you in any way we can. Some of the services we can
offer you include:
- face to face counseling
- phone support
- resources on the Internet
- on-site facilitation tailored to staff needs
- articles for internal circulation (samples are attached)
Some of your employees may have been personally affected by this trauma
and others could be experiencing a stress reaction. It is not unusual
for symptoms to develop in workgroups even days after the event occurs.
We can help you deal with these highly sensitive issues immediately.

until things escalate.
